Adrian Closer To Arsenal

Athletico Madrid’s star performer last season, Spanish striker Adrian has been surrounded by rumors suggesting a possible move. Thought to be on English outfit Arsenal’s radar, the in-form front-man could very well be on the move this summer.

After joining from Deportivo la Coruna last season, Adrian has become a revelation of sorts, guiding his side to European success last term. His performances in front of goal have earned him plaudits, and along with it, strong interest from foreign clubs, with Arsenal thought to be keenly interested in him.
Adrian had reiterated earlier during an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca that he is perfectly happy with life at Madrid, as he had said, ”I am very happy,” he
said.
“In my first year we have a title, something that you would expect, and I felt very comfortable with the people in the club. The support of the fans is amazing. I have three years and my idea is to follow.”
However, the same newspaper now suggest that Adrian is now not responding to Athletico’s offers of an increased pay, and a long-term contract.
Arsenal are thought to be monitoring this development, as they look to further add attackers following the capture of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.
