Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud had been dropped from the squad to face Finland in Friday's 2014 World Cup qualifier match, confirmed French national coach, Deschamps.
Giroud had been struggling with a muscle injury eversince he featured in the Liverpool game and is still facing this problem as he is currently with his fellow countrymen.
Despite being dropped from the first game, the coach is still hopeful he would be fit on time to face Belarus on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters today, he said,
"He will work apart (from the squad), which will allow him to play the next match (against Belarus).
"Considering it’s a muscle problem, it is better to give him more time. I would have preferred Olivier at full fitness, but (football) is like that."
