Arsenal Looking to Sign Spanish Striker in January.

Arsenal had been linked with another Spanish striker, Adrian Lopez of Atletico Madrid, who joined the Spanish side from Deportivo.
He made 18 appearances for Madrid, scoring 11 goals and also winning the Europa Cup. It is believed he is being hunted by Arsenal, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur.

He was awarded the Golden boot at the U-21 European Championships in 2011 and had since gained a high reputation at his present club. Athletico Madrid had tried giving him a new contract but reports suggest the talks failed.

Adrian, in an interview a few days back, said –
“I’m very happy here. I have a few years left at Atletico Madrid. It’s very important to continue to work every day, and be excited at every practice and every game”.

The 24 year old still has three years on his contract and has a 14.5 million release clause. Arsenal and Tottenham are fore-runners for the striker's signature and are waiting to make a bid in January.
