Arsene Wenger is set to snap up another Everton star, after the signature of Mikel Arteta from that same club last summer. The next in line is England left-back, Leighton Baines who had been a long time target of the Frenchman. Arsenal tried to sign him in the last window but there was no progress with the deal as Everton claimed they didn't recieve a concrete offer from any club. Though Manchester United are also said to be interested in his signature, reports suggest that Arsenal are favourites to land Baines either in January or in the next summer. The ex-Wigan man had contributed a lot to the Merseyside club, making 206 appearances and has 15 goals to his name in all competitions. Everton's valuation of Leighton Baines is £15million but would Wenger dish out such an amount for a player nearing his thirties?
