Jens Lehman Could Feature in 2016 Paralympics for Germany.

Reports have it that former Arsenal goalkeeper, Jens Lehman is being considered to feature in the 2016 Paralympics for the German Blind football team.

He is eligible to participate in the tournament as the goalkeeper in this game doesn't need to be blind. According to regulations, all four players must wear blindfolds while the goalkeeper isn't allowed to leave his penalty area.

Lehman welcomed the offer saying ;

"This is very interesting, as long as I am fit to go there,"

"In any case, it's okay to talk about it if you are interested."

After Lehman's comments the German Disabled Sports Association issued a statement.

“A goalkeeper is not subject to the requirement that he must have some kind of disability,” Beucher said.
