Szczesny got injured in September in our 6 - 1 victory against the Saints at the Emirates. He is now back in training according to some pictures from today's session.
With Lukasz Fabianski also out injured, Vito Mannone has been in the No. 1 position and has made a series of impressive saves but I would still expect Szczesny to get back his starting place as soon as he gets fully fit. To me the Pole [Szczesny] is better than the Italian [Vito].
I guess Szczesny would make his return at Old Trafford as his presence in that game would be very vital for us. Two other players I would have loved to feature in that game are Abou Diaby and Kierran Gibbs but all hope isn't yet lost on the latter as he could make his return on that day
