Cazorla: Please Don't Compare Me With Cesc Fabregas.

Santi Cazorla had pleaded with Arsenal fans to stop comparing him with ex-Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas as he wants to make his own mark at the club.

Since the departure of Cesc in 2011, the Arsenal midfield had lost some swagger and Wenger's attempts to fill in the void left by Fabregas finally yielded fruit in the last window with the arrival of Cazorla.

The way Cazorla plays is so similar to how Cesc played at Arsenal but he doesn't like being taken as Fabregas' replacement.

"Please don't compare me with Cesc Fabregas," Cazorla is quoted as saying in the Sun .

"I am Cazorla and not Cesc. It's not possible to compare because our styles are different.

"Now I'm here I have noticed that Cesc is a symbol for this club and I am far away from being that. I spoke with him before signing - and other colleagues in the Spanish team. My choice was clear."

The Spanish international [Cazorla] has had a good start to life in the Premier League and is aiming to do even better than what he had done so far.

He said:
"I am very happy with my first weeks with Arsenal. It was such a joy to be nominated as player of the month, that's an incentive to work even harder."
