Jack Wilshere Back in Action, Spends an Hour With the U-21

Jack Wilshere made a return to action this afternoon after 14 months of absence from the field.

Wilshere had been out since August 2011 after sustaining an ankle injury against New York Red Bulls in the Emirates Cup. The youngster had a series of setbacks which also resulted into a knee injury, making him undergo surgery early this year.

He started training with the Arsenal first team few weeks ago and is still searching for more fitness to enable him play once again.

As part of his rehabilitation, he featured in today's U-21 clash against West Bromwich Albion, a game which we lost. He spent 63 minutes and had a good game.
