Arsene Wenger had stated that Olivier Giroud’s confidence
level is very low as a result of some goals he failed to score when it mattered
most.
The striker who joined the Gunners from Montpellier is yet to score in a major
competition. He had recorded just a goal with the club which was in the Capital
One Cup against Coventry
City.
Wenger admitted that Giroud had become so worried after crucial
misses against Sunderland, Liverpool and most recently, Chelsea.
“I told him not to worry but a striker who does not score, does not really listen to you.
“They run it through their minds over and over again.
“He had a chance against Liverpool, a chance against Sunderland and a chance against Chelsea.
“Once the first goes in, maybe the rest will follow.”
