By the end of October, Arsenal would have faced the two bottom clubs of the English Premier League (Queen Park Rangers and Norwich City) and would have gone midway of the Champions League group stages after a home game with Schalke and Wenger is aware it's very vital for the club to get the maximum needed points.
"In October the moment of truth starts for the team," he told Arsenal Player. "The league establishes itself a little bit and the Champions League goes to decisive moments. Therefore of course, it’s important to be decisive and convincing.
"The target is always the same [after an international break]. When they come back, we want to quickly focus on our own targets again and get the team back mentally on our next game. I believe that we’ll work and the team, after our last performance at West Ham, will want to continue the good run and focus well."

Arsenal went into the just concluded international break with a lot of confidence after a well deserved comeback at Upton Park and Wenger thinks the result shouldn't be taken as ordinary.
"Because we lost against Chelsea, of course it was important [to win there]," he said. "When you go to West Ham, it’s a difficult place. We played against a good side. I was impressed by the quality of their game against QPR.
"We knew that was an important moment of the season for us and we dealt well with the situation in a very positive way. We were faithful to our game and overall it was a convincing win, even if there were some turning points during the game [that] went a little bit for us."
